§ 155.41 INTERSECTIONS, BLOCKS, AND LOTS.
   (A)   Intersections.
      (1)   Street line intersections shall be rounded by radii of at least 20 feet.
      (2)   Streets should be laid out to intersect at right angles and may be curved approaching the intersection in order to bring this about; no minor street shall intersect any other minor street at an angle of less than sixty degrees.
      (3)   The design of the street intersection should be such that a clear sight distance will be maintained for 75 feet at the roadway center line, with no obstruction to sight within the triangle formed by these points.
(Prior Code, Chapter 16, Ch. 1.16, § 1.16.080)
   (B)   Blocks.
      (1)   No block shall be shorter than 500 feet nor longer than 1,000 feet between streets except where the topography of the platted area requires blocks of greater length.
      (2)   The width of blocks shall be sufficient to allow two tiers of lots of appropriate depth but shall not exceed 300 feet.
      (3)   In blocks over 750 feet in length between street lines, the City Council may require a right-of-way of not less than ten feet in width to be dedicated for a crosswalk.
(Prior Code, Chapter 16, Ch. 1.16, § 1.16.100)
   (C)   Lots.
      (1)   No residential lot shall be less than 50 feet in width or 50 feet at building line or minimum of 7,000 square feet in area.
      (2)   The foregoing requirements apply only to residential lots served by public sanitary sewer. In the case of lots not so served, such lots shall be of sufficient additional area to properly accommodate a suitable private sewage disposal device. The City Council will determine the required lot size upon report of appropriate tests and adequate determination and recommendation of the City Engineer.
      (3)   Corner lots should have extra width sufficient to provide adequate vision clearance at street intersections and to permit the establishment of building lines 25 feet from both adjoining streets.
      (4)   In all lots, insofar as possible, the side lines shall be perpendicular or radial to the street on which the lot faces, except where a variation of this rule will provide a better street and lot layout. Minimum building line set back of 25 feet will be required in all cases.
