§ 30.23 TERM OF OFFICE; VACANCY.
   (A)   Term of office. The Alderpersons shall be elected each for a period of four years, one-half of the same, one from each ward, to be elected every two years.

   (B)   Vacancy. If any vacancy shall occur in the office of Alderperson by death, resignation, removal, or otherwise, such vacancy shall be filled by election.
