In case of the death of any person licensed under ordinance of said city before the time limited in his or her license shall have expired, his or her co-partner (if he or she has any) or his or her legal representative may continue to act under such license for the unexpired term thereof, subject, however, to the conditions imposed upon the person to whom the same was originally issued.
