§ 110.01 ITINERANT MERCHANTS.
   (A)   No person, firm, or corporation shall act as an itinerant merchant or transient vendor of goods, wares, or merchandise without first obtaining a license in the manner hereinafter provided.
   (B)   An ITINERANT MERCHANT OR VENDOR under this section shall be deemed to be any person, firm, or corporation transiently or temporarily engaged in the business of selling, bartering, or exchanging or offering for sale, barter, or exchange any goods, wares, or merchandise in the city and who does not own or rent by the year and hold a lease for a year or longer on a store, warehouse, yard, office, office space, show or sale room, or space in the city.
   (C)   Each applicant shall pay to the City Clerk, in advance, a license fee in the sum of $25 per week for each week said license shall be issued. The license fee shall authorize a maximum number of five persons to act as an itinerant merchant or transient vendor of goods, wares, or merchandise under each such license, and prior to issuing any such license, the City Clerk shall require each such person acting under any such license to provide photo identification and shall make a record of the name, address, telephone number, and driver’s license or social security number of each such person under each such license.
   (D)   The Mayor shall have the right to revoke said license if he or she is satisfied that the person, firm, or corporation so licensed is not the proper and authorized representative of a reliable and responsible business house or is not himself or herself responsible and reliable, and the Mayor shall have the right to revoke the said license for any violation of any provision of this section by the person, firm, or corporation licensed or to refuse to issue such a license to any person, firm, or corporation which has violated any of the provisions of this section.
   (E)   None of the provisions of this section shall be held to apply to any itinerant merchant or transient vendor whose activities in the city constitute interstate commerce or to persons, firms, or corporations selling or offering for sale, fruits, vegetables, farm produce, meats, or the produce of their own farms or to religious or charitable organizations not conducted for pecuniary profit.
