§ 91.17 APPOINTIVE ASSISTANTS.
   The 29 assistants of said Fire Department shall be appointed by the Fire Marshal, and each of them shall be under his or her direction and control, subject, at all times, to the orders and direction of the Health and Safety Committee; said Fire Marshal shall possess full power and authority over his or her organization, government, and discipline and may establish such rules and regulations for the government and control of the Department as he or she may deem best, with full power and authority to enforce such rules and regulations when established. He or she shall have general supervision over the fire apparatus, including all those carts, trucks, ladders, and other appliances belonging thereto, and it shall be his or her duty to see that the same shall be kept, at all times, in good order and ready for immediate use.
