§ 11.38 ABSENT VOTERS.
   (A)   Absent voters. Any qualified voter of the city who expects, in the course of his or her business or duties, to be absent from the county in which said city is located on the day of holding any general or special city election may vote as hereinafter provided.

   (B)   Procedure for absentee voting. Any elector may, not more than 30 nor less than five days prior to the date of such election, make application to the City Clerk for an official ballot for the precinct in which he or she is entitled to vote at such election. Application for ballot shall be made on a blank furnished by the City Clerk and shall be in the form provided by the statutes of the state. The balance of the procedure with reference to absentee ballots shall be in conformity with said statutes.
