§ 90.001 PURPOSE.
   The purpose of this chapter is to protect and promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of such city by establishing requirements for the effective control of animals. This chapter is in addition to and does not preempt the Animal Control Act (510 ILCS 5/1 et seq.).
