§ 11.30 AUSTRALIAN BALLOT LAW; STATE LAW TO PREVAIL.
   (A)   Australian Ballot Law. The provisions of an Act of the State Legislature, entitled, “An Act to Provide for the Printing and Distribution of Ballots at Public Expense and for the Nomination of Candidates of Public Offices, to Regulate the Manner of Holding Elections and to Enforce the Secrecy of the Ballot,” commonly known as the Australian Ballot Law, approved June 22nd, 1891 and in force July 1, 1891, together with all amendments thereto be and the same are hereby adopted by the city.

   (B)   Preemption by state law. Whenever any of the provisions contained in this subchapter shall be in conflict with the general election laws of this state, said provision shall be void and the state law shall prevail, but no such invalidity of any one section of this subchapter shall operate to invalidate any other section or sections hereof.
