The General Statutes, as amended from time to time, relating to elections, including, without limitation, residency requirements and nomination of candidates, shall be applicable to all elections held in accordance with the provisions of this Charter. The Legislative Council shall provide by Ordinance for the manner of warning (or notice) of municipal elections and such additional regulations in respect of elections, not inconsistent with the General Statutes or this Charter, as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this chapter. The nomination and elections of all Federal, State and Town elected officials shall be conducted as prescribed by the General Statutes42.
