All provisions of the Town Code of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and if for any reason any word, clause or paragraph or section of this chapter shall be held to make the same unconstitutional, this chapter shall not be hereby invalidated and the remainder of this chapter shall continue in effect. Any provision herein, which is in conflict with the Connecticut General Statutes, is hereby repealed, it being understood that the said General Statutes shall take precedence over this chapter.
