(A) Any individual who wishes to file a complaint alleging a violation of § 96.26 shall contact the Town Engineer. The Town Engineer shall inspect the premises and if warranted, shall cause to be left written notice that a violation of § 96.26 has occurred and that any further delay in compliance shall result in a penalty. Such notice may be attached in a conspicuous place on any such premises where the sidewalk or adjacent sidewalk has been found to be in violation of § 96.26 or delivered either by hand or certified mail.
(B) Not more than 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) after a notice of violation is delivered as set forth in division (A) hereof, the Town Engineer shall inspect such sidewalk and if warranted, shall contact the Police Chief who shall cause to be left written notice that a violation has occurred and that a penalty has been incurred.
