The mayor is directed, authorized and empowered to do any and all things necessary to cooperate with the governor of the state, the state civil preparedness director or his agents, the mayors, first selectmen, chief executive officers or civil preparedness directors of other communities within the state and with the government of the United States and of this state in carrying out any and all orders, rules and regulations made and promulgated by the government of the United States or this state pursuant to the provisions of federal or state civil preparedness acts.
