1-6-3: COUNCIL PRESIDENT:
   A.   Appointment; Salary: There shall be a president of the council to be appointed by the mayor and approved by the council after each election. (1996 Code § 1-6-1; amd. 2010 Code)
   B.   Duties: The president of the council shall preside at all meetings of the council and perform the duties of the mayor in the absence of the mayor. (1996 Code § 1-6-7)
