9-6-4: MANNER OF CONSTRUCTION:
   A.   Wall Mounted Signs: All signs shall be supported from the buildings in front of which they are placed with proper metal supports securely bolted or fastened to the walls. All signs extending over the sidewalk shall be laterally secured with guywires which are made adjustable by means of turnbuckles.
   B.   Freestanding Signs: Where buildings set back off of the property line, signs shall be mounted on a single or double rigid pole that is securely anchored in concrete, and placed on a line that is two feet (2') within the curb line. No sign shall extend beyond a point two feet (2') within the curb line and minimum vertical clearance shall be nine feet (9').
   C.   Rooftop Mounted Signs: The framework of all signs placed upon the roof of any building or structure shall be so constructed and fastened to the roof as to be capable of withstanding a wind pressure of not less than twenty (20) pounds per square foot of surface area. Said sign shall be set back from the firewall of said building or structure a distance of at least three feet (3') so as to leave a clear passageway around and in front of the same. The bottom line of the surface of said sign shall be at least four feet (4') in the clear above the roof of said building so as to leave a clear passageway under the same. (2010 Code)
