9-6-3: SIGN REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Projecting Signs:
      1.   Projecting signs are limited to one per business where such sign is located.
      2.   The maximum size shall not exceed fifty (50) square feet per face or one hundred (100) square feet per sign.
      3.   No point on any sign shall project more than ten feet (10') above the highest point of the roof structure of the building to which it is attached. Any sign exceeding four feet (4') in height shall provide a clearance of not less than four feet (4') between the roof and the lowest point on the sign. Signs attached to parapet walls shall not project more than six feet (6') above the highest point of said parapet wall. Projecting signs and marquees shall not project more than eight feet (8') from the principal building.
   B.   Freestanding Signs:
      1.   Freestanding signs are limited to the same size as projecting signs with a maximum height of twenty feet (20').
      2.   No freestanding sign shall be set nearer to a lot line adjacent to a street than the required minimum setback for the principal building.
   C.   Illuminated Signs:
      1.   Any illuminated sign or lighted device shall emit a light of constant intensity, and no sign shall be illuminated by or contain flashing, intermittent, rotating, or moving light or lights.
      2.   In no event shall an illuminated sign or lighting device be placed or directed to permit the beams and illumination therefrom to be directed or beamed onto a public thoroughfare, highway, sidewalk, or adjacent premises or cause a glare or reflection that may constitute a traffic hazard or nuisance.
   D.   Signs With Moving Parts: No sign shall employ any parts or elements which revolve, rotate, whirl, spin, or otherwise use motion to attract attention (not to include any sign performing a public information service function such as indicating time, temperature, stock market quotations or similar services).
   E.   Signs Along Primary Highways: Signs along primary highways shall conform to the state transportation department regulations. No sign shall be placed in any public right of way except publicly owned signs. (2010 Code)
