A. Filing Of Application; Consideration:
1. Any person desiring to utilize the sewer system of the city shall make application therefor to the city clerk- treasurer. Application must be made in writing upon forms to be furnished by the clerk-treasurer, and, among other things, must be signed by the owner of the land where the connection is proposed to be made, and give the location of the proposed connection. (1996 Code § 6-4-2)
2. When such application is made, it shall be referred to the building inspector for examination and consideration by him. If such application is approved by the building inspector, the work of installation can proceed immediately under the supervision and control of the building inspector. B. Payment Of Connection Charge: The charge for all sewer connections shall be set by resolution of the city council and said sums must be paid prior to the final approval of the permit and prior to actual connection with the sewage system. Such connection charge shall be paid by all persons connecting with the sewage system, whether the connection be made directly with one of the city lines or mains, or whether it is made with a private line before such private line enters one of the lines or mains of the city sewer system.
