A. Water Main Lines: All water main lines, valves, fire hydrants, and fitting materials and their installation shall be in accordance with the city standard specifications for the construction of water system improvements and the applicable standard drawings depicting various water line installation details.
B. Water Service Lines: All water service line materials and their installation shall be in accordance with the city standard specifications for the construction of water system improvements and the applicable standard drawings depicting the various water service line installation details.
C. Water System Materials: All water system materials shall be of the class, strength, thickness, etc., necessary to accommodate or provide for the depth of cover over the pipe, the anticipated working pressure in the pipe, the type of material and bedding around the pipe, and the type, magnitude, and extent of the external loads being applied to the pipe.
D. Approval Of Materials: All materials must be approved by an engineer designated by the city prior to their installation. (Ord. 984, 7-5-1995)
