(A) The City Council does hereby fix and establish the following rates to be charged for water supplied by the water works system of the city to customers residing within the city limits, such rates to become effective and to be charged on all bills following the adoption and publication of this section, as follows.

First 2,000 gallons | $33.50 minimum bill |
All over 2,000 gallons | $10 per 1,000 gallons |
(B) Each customer applying for new water connection to the municipal water system shall pay the fee set by the following water tap-on schedule:
(1) Residential customers: $750; and
(2) Industrial and commercial customers: $750, plus materials cost.
(C) In the event the cost to the city exceeds the above tap-on fee, a determination of the actual cost shall be made by the Utility Superintendent and such cost shall be the responsibility of the customer.
(D) All new water customers shall pay a $250 deposit to the city at the time that the meter is set and water service is provided. The deposit shall be refunded in full upon the payment of the customer’s final bill upon termination of water service.
