The Board of Adjustment, as presently constituted, shall continue in office in accordance with the requirements set forth in Iowa Code Chapter 335, as amended. The Board shall consist of five members, a majority of whom shall reside within the county, but outside the corporate limits of any municipality. Each member of the Board shall be appointed by the County Board for a term of five years. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of any member whose term becomes vacant. The County Board shall have the power to remove any member of the Board from office, for cause, upon written charges and after public hearing. Members of the Board may receive compensation, as determined by the County Board, for their services.
