In accordance with Tex. Tax Code §§ 321.001 et seq., an additional local sales and use tax of ½% has been adopted and now imposed by the voters of the city for the promotion and development of new and expanded business enterprises. Such additional ½% sales and use tax was approved as a result of an election held on May 3, 1997.
