Community utilities shall be permitted in the commercial general (CG) district, subject to administrative review that determines that the following standards are met:
A. Buffer: The facility shall be surrounded by a landscape buffer 1.5 times the requirements of section 8-9-3, "Landscaping And Buffer Areas", of this title.
B. Design Compatibility: In the commercial general (CG) district, the design of the community utilities shall be compatible with the residential environment. Masonry walls, rather than fences, shall be used to screen the facility. The street faces shall be improved to provide continuation of the sidewalk areas, with landscaping designed to make the utility a part of the commercial area. (Ord. 10-001, 1-12-2010; amd.
