(a) The probationary period for all newly hired patrol officers shall be a period of not less than twelve months. At the conclusion of said twelve month period, the Mayor, pursuant to Chapter 5.03(B)(2) of the Groveport Charter, may terminate, fully appoint or extend said probation for a period not to exceed three additional months.
(b) The probationary period for all newly promoted detectives, sergeants, lieutenants and all other command/supervisory personnel shall be a period of not less than twelve months. At the conclusion of said twelve month period, the Mayor, pursuant to Chapter 5.03
(B)(2) of the Groveport Charter, may demote, fully appoint or extend said probation for a period not to exceed three additional months.
