The purpose of this district is to provide a zoning district in which the dominant use of land will be single-family residential dwellings, but lot sizes are smaller and there are more mixed uses than R-1A. Other uses will be permitted only to the extent they support a traditional walkable neighborhood and foster homeowner-ship and housing affordability.
