(A) The following words or phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings given to them in this subchapter unless the context or Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act 247, as amended, indicates otherwise. Unless otherwise expressly stated, the following terms shall, for the purpose of this chapter, have the meaning indicated. Words in the singular include the plural, and words in the plural include the singular. The word “person” includes an individual or any other legal entity including a corporation, unincorporated association and a partnership. The words “shall” and “will” are mandatory; the word “may” is permissive. An “agency” shall be construed to include its successors or assigns.
(B) Words not defined in this subchapter or the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code shall have meanings as in a standard dictionary.
