(A) If any section, division, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this chapter shall be declared invalid for any reason whatsoever, such decision shall not affect the remaining portions of this chapter which shall remain in full force and effect; and for this purpose the provisions of this chapter are hereby declared to be severable.
(B) If any provision of this chapter is found to be in conflict with any other provision of the zoning, building, plumbing, electrical or fire prevention code of the borough in force on the effective date of this chapter, the provision which establishes the highest standard for the promotion of the health and safety of the people shall prevail.
