Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $100 and costs of prosecution, for each and every such violation, and, in default of payment thereof, to imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days; provided, each day’s violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall constitute a separate offense.
