§ 95.006 SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY FOR BOROUGH TO COMPLETE WORK FOLLOWING NOTICE.
   Whereas, every occupant, owner or person of every house, shop, building, lot, parcel of land, or other property that adjoins or is abutting to or on a sidewalk in the borough shall be charged with the responsibility to keep such sidewalk in a good state of repair and free from defects and debris. This shall also include any stairs or other similar fixtures that have been constructed within the street right-of-way that abuts or adjoins their property. Failure to repair a sidewalk or fixture or cause the same to be done, within the time specified in the notice, as herein provided, shall result in the borough having the necessary work be done either by an independent contractor or by borough employees; and the borough shall collect the cost of such work, together with any additional amount allowed by law, from such person.
