§ 91.26 CAUSE OF EMPLOYMENT.
   Volunteer firefighters shall be deemed to be performing work within the course of their employment as volunteer firefighters when engaged in the following activities:
   (A)   An activity specifically defined under the Workmen’s Compensation Act, 77 P.S. § 1031, and as it may be amended thereafter;
   (B)   Education of citizenry on fire prevention matters at the specific direction of the Fire Chief;
   (C)   Attendance at educational seminars and sessions related to fire prevention or fire suppression or engaged in the acquisition of fire equipment, provided further that the attendance or acquisition activities are at the specific direction of the Fire Chief;
   (D)   Attendance at memorial services for firefighters killed while suppressing a fire;
   (E)   Directly participating in one of the following activities within the borough at the specific direction of the Fire Chief:
      (1)   Flagpole duties;
      (2)   Community parade; and
      (3)   Fund-raising activities.
   (F)   Attendance at parades outside the borough.
