(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle or other vehicle, tractor, trailer or tractor-trailer combination, having a gross weight in excess of 18,000 pounds, on any highway in the borough, except:

(B) Such highways hereby being designated as “truck routes”.
(C) Any person who shall violate any provision of this schedule shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $50 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than ten days.
