§ 53.020 CONNECTION OF CERTAIN DRAINS TO SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM PROHIBITED.
   Where subsoil drains are placed under the cellar floor or are used to encircle the outer walls of a building, they shall not be connected or discharged into any sanitary sewer. Where such drains are located at such elevation that the discharge cannot be carried by gravity to existing storm drainage facilities, the discharge shall be made into a sump or receiving tank, the contents of which shall be automatically lifted and discharged into or as close to existing storm drainage facilities as is practicable. The discharge from roofs, paved areas, yards, courts and courtyards shall be disposed of in the same manner.
