Work requiring a building permit shall, at the Building Inspector's discretion, not be commenced until the permit holder or his agent has posted an inspection record and in a conspicuous place on the premises and in such position as to allow the Building Inspector conveniently to make the required entries thereon regarding inspection of the work. This card shall be maintained in such a position by the permit holder until the certificate of occupancy has been issued.
