Any licensed company operating in the City as a metered taxicab shall properly maintain each taximeter connected in each taxicab of a standard type in general use. The taximeter rates shall be computed by taximeter and such rates shall not be more than the rate in the following schedule:
Taximeter Rates
First one-ninth mile or fraction thereof $2.00
Each additional two-ninths of a mile $0.30
Waiting time for each approximate period of one minute thirty seconds $0.30
Hourly use or special trip rate shall be $18.00 per hour or meter fare, whichever is greater.
