505.02   NOTICE OF VIOLATION.
   Whenever a dog, cat or other animal is found at large in violation of Section 505.01 or any other ordinance of the City, or in violation of state law or regulation of the Board of Health, the officer finding it may, if the identity of the person owning, keeping, harboring or having charge of it is known, send a written notice to such person on a form provided for that purpose, directing such person to answer to the charge against him or her for such violation within two days, during hours and at a place specified in the notice. Such notice may be delivered by a police officer or sent by mail. The officer shall deliver a copy of such notice to the misdemeanors violations bureau. Any person to whom such a notice is sent or delivered who willfully neglects to answer to the charges set forth in such notice is guilty of a minor misdemeanor regardless of the disposition of the charge for which the notice was originally issued.
