The duties of the members of the Commission shall be to investigate and research, and maintain the history of the City for educational enhancement, preservation of records, and the collection, preservation and display of artifacts and archival materials of historic importance. The Commission shall serve as liaison between the City and historical groups within and outside the City. The Commission shall share the City's history through historical programming, publications, exhibits and other activities. From time to time the Commission may make recommendations to the Mayor and Council concerning the preservation of the history of the City.
