§ 52.071  SPECIAL POLLUTANT LIMITATIONS.
   (A)   Certain discharges may be prohibited in the event the town’s Directors determine it necessary to protect the POTW, receiving stream, or that the discharge will not otherwise endanger lives, limbs, public property or constitute a nuisance.
   (B)   Unless authorized by a permit issued under § 52.100(A) and (B), no person shall discharge wastewater containing pollutants at levels which exceed the levels associated with domestic sewage.
   (C)   The Director may revise the limitations established in this section if, in his or her opinion, different limitations are necessary to meet the above objectives.
   (D)   Wastewater as described below shall not be discharged to the POTW without the prior written approval of the Town Directors:
      (1)   Grease and oils:
         (a)   Wastewater containing more than 100 mg/l of oil or grease of animal or vegetable origin; or
         (b)   Wastewater containing substances which may solidify or become viscous at a temperature between 32°F and 150°F.
      (2)   Any radioactive wastes or isotopes of a half-life or concentration as may exceed limits established by the Director in compliance with applicable state or federal regulations.
      (3)   Wastewater containing substances which are not amenable to treatment or reduction by the wastewater treatment processes employed.
      (4)   Wastewater having a pH higher than ten units.
      (5)   Wastewater with pollutants exceeding the following concentrations:

   (E)   Domestic sewage levels for pollutants not listed above shall be determined by the Superintendent and shall be based on either actually measured local domestic sewage levels or literature values.
