Sec. 8-62 Stop and Yield Intersections.
   (a)   When signs and/or signals are erected giving notice of the need to stop or yield at an intersection, drivers of vehicles shall obey the respective signs and/or signals before entering any of the streets and/or parts of the streets covered by the signs and/or signals.
   (b)   The Board of Public Works and Safety shall be charged with cataloging a list of existing stop and yield signs and/or signals in the City and adding additional stop and yield signs and/or signals as it, in its discretion, determines a need exists.
   (c)   The Street Department shall post appropriate signs and/or signals and markings on the public streets clearly indicating the described restrictions.
   (d)   Any person who operates a motor vehicle in violation of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Five Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($2,500.00). In his/her discretion, the City Court Judge may also order certain other non-monetary, non-criminal penalties, including, but not limited to, remedial driving training.
