(a) The Greenwood Common Council deems it necessary to protect the public's safety to prohibit the right turn on red of all vehicles at the following locations:
(1) Reserved. (Ord No. 92-22, § 1(a), 6-1-92; Ord. No. 23-52, § 1, 11-20-23).
(2) No person shall permit a vehicle to turn right from any street at the intersection of Main Street and Madison Avenue while the traffic signal is red in the City of Greenwood. (Ord. No. 23-52, § 2, 11-20-23)

(b) The Street Department shall post appropriate signs and markings on the above described public streets clearly indicating the described restriction. (Ord. 12-87, §12, 1-7-13)
(c) Any person who operates a motor vehicle in violation of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Five Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($2,500.00). In his/her discretion, the City Court Judge may also order certain other non-monetary, non-criminal penalties, including, but not limited to, remedial driving training. (Ord. 12-87, §12, 1-7-13)
