Sec. 8-49 Twenty-Five mile per hour speed limit designation.
   (a)   No person shall drive a motor vehicle in excess of 25 miles per hour on the following:
      (1)   Meridian Street from Smith Valley Road to the intersection with Main Street.
      (2)   Main Street from the west edge of the Conrail Railroad tracks to U.S. 31.
      (3)   Jackson Boulevard.
      (4)   Airport Parkway north of Jackson Boulevard.
      (5)   Surina Way.
      (6)   Residential streets as identified in the most recent version of the Greenwood Comprehensive Plan unless otherwise provided herein.
      (7)   Madison Avenue from Main Street to six hundred feet (600') north of Noble Street.
   (b)   The Street Department shall post appropriate signs and markings on the above described public streets clearly indicating thereon the altered speed limits.
   (c)   Any person who operates a motor vehicle in violation of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Five Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($2,500.00).
