The Zoning Commission shall make plans and maps of the whole or any portion of the Village, and of any land outside the Village which, in the opinion of the Commission, is related to the planning of the Village, and make changes in such plans or maps when it deems it advisable.
The Zoning Commission shall be the Platting Commission and is hereby authorized to control the height, design and location of buildings and to appoint or employ architects, engineers and other professional services and other employees as it deems necessary. The expenditures for such services and employees shall be within the amounts appropriated for such persons by Council. The Commission shall have all other powers and duties given it by the ordinances of the Village or the general laws of the State.
