(a) Title. This chapter shall be known as the Exterior Property Maintenance Code of the Village.
(b) Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to protect the public health, safety, morals, welfare, and sanitation by establishing minimum standards governing the maintenance and condition of residential and nonresidential properties within the Village and to fix certain responsibilities and duties upon owners and operators and to fix penalties for the violations of any provisions of this chapter.
