As used in this chapter:
(a) "Dripline" means the approximately circular, vertical extension to the ground of the outermost branches and leaves of a tree as an indication of the spread of the root system.
(b) "Large tree" means a tree attaining a height of forty-five feet or more.
(c) "Lawn strip," "tree lawn" or "curb strip" means that part of a street or highway right of way outside of the portion improved for travel, including the sidewalk.
(d) "Medium tree" means a tree attaining a height of thirty to forty-five feet.
(e) "Park" means and includes all public parks.
(f) "Property line" means the legal boundary line.
(g) "Property owner" means the person owning such property as shown by the deed records of the County Recorder.
(h) "Public land," "public area" or "public property" means and includes all grounds owned by the Village.
(i) "Public tree" means and includes all shade and ornamental trees now or hereafter growing on any street, including the lawn strip, tree lawn or curb strip, or on any other public land.
(j) "Shade tree," "ornamental tree" or "shrub" means any and all woody vegetation.
(k) "Small tree" means a tree attaining a height of twenty to thirty feet.
(l) "Street" or "highway" means the entire width of every public way or right of way when any part thereof is open to the use of the public, as a matter or right, for purposes of vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
(m) "Tree" means and includes all trees, regardless of species and height, and all woody shrubs, regardless of size or height.
