628.01 FAIR HOUSING OFFICER; PROCESSING OF INQUIRIES AND CLAIMS.
   There is hereby established in and for the Village the position of Fair Housing Officer. The identity of the person appointed to such position shall be publicized throughout the Village, together with notice as to where and how such person can be reached or contacted. A specific inquiry or claim concerning housing discrimination in the Village shall be brought to the Fair Housing Officer who will determine whether the grievance is valid. All parties will be consulted in making this determination. The Fair Housing Officer will attempt to solve such grievance through conciliation. If conciliation cannot be achieved, the matter will be forwarded to the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, the Ohio Real Estate Commission, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the County Prosecutor or other proper authority. The Fair Housing Officer will then have no further duties.
