SEC. 12-3-5 ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY; RIGHT OF ENTRY.
   It is the duty of the Code Enforcement Supervisor or officer to enforce all of the provisions of this chapter, unless otherwise specified, and he or she shall have such powers as may be necessary or convenient to carry out and effectuate the purpose and provisions of this chapter, including the authority to make all inspections necessary to determine whether the provisions of this chapter are being met. The Code Enforcement Supervisor or officer shall be authorized to enter upon and within premises and buildings for the purpose of making examinations and investigations; provided that such entries shall be made at reasonable hours in such a manner as to cause the least possible inconvenience to persons in possession or by obtaining an administrative inspection warrant, if necessary, as provided in G.S. 15-27.2.
