For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning. When not inconsistent with the context, words used in the present tense include the future, words in the plural number include the singular number, and words in the singular number include the plural number, the word “shall” is always mandatory and not merely directory.
COUNCIL. The Town Council of the Town of Greenville, Indiana.
MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM. The Greenville water utility.
PERSON. Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
SUPERINTENDENT. The Utilities Superintendent in charge of the utilities daily operations under the directions of the town water utility and Town Council.
TOWN. The Town of Greenville, Indiana.
USER. The person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization in whose name the town water utility maintains water service.
WATER. Water from the Greenville Water Utility System.
