§ 153.0330 PURPOSE AND FINDINGS.
   (A)   “CL” (Commercial Large-Scale) Districts permit general commercial activities designed to serve the community, such as repair shops, wholesale businesses, warehousing and limited retail sales with some outdoor display of goods. These districts promote a broad range of commercial operations and services necessary for large regions, providing community balance. The “CL” Districts ensure that proposed land uses and development are compatible in their use, character and size to the site and the surrounding areas. They support diversification of the economic base and neighborhood services, including schools, libraries, stores, transit centers and community service facilities in accessible, pedestrian-friendly environments.
   (B)   “CL” (Commercial Large-Scale) Districts provide for more intensive commercial uses than those located within the “CN” (Commercial Neighborhood) or “CG” (Commercial General) Zoning Districts. “CL” District uses are typically characterized as community and regional shopping centers, power centers and/or assembly of similar uses into a single complex under either single ownership or the structure of a property owner or condominium-styled organization. Development in “CL” Districts incorporates shared internal circulation and limited curb cuts to arterial streets.
