§ 153.0160 BUILDING DESIGN.
   (A)   Generally. All buildings and sites shall orient their interior and on-site circulation to the closest adjacent transit station or bus shelter.
   (B)   Pedestrian access. New retail, office, and institutional buildings within the TOD-C District shall provide for convenient pedestrian access to transit through the measures listed in subsections (B)(1), (B)(2) and (B)(3) below:
      (1)   Pedestrian connections to adjoining properties shall be provided, except where such a connection is impracticable due to unique topography;
      (2)   Pedestrian connections shall connect the on-site circulation system to existing or proposed streets, walkways and driveways that abut the property. Where adjacent properties are undeveloped, streets, accessways and walkways on site shall be aligned or stubbed to allow for extension to the adjoining property; and
      (3)   A direct pedestrian connection shall be provided between the transit stop and building entrances on the site.
   (C)   Parking structures. Parking structures, where allowed, shall have retail or residential uses along the first-floor building area that abuts the sidewalk.
