The Committee shall have the following functions:
(A) Develop plans to promote tourism and conventions;
(B) Develop and/or review proposals and recommend on proposals for the use of proceeds from the city’s tax on the gross rental receipts from the renting, leasing or letting of hotel and motel rooms; and
(C) Report periodically to the City Council of the progress of the Committee in promoting tourism and conventions.
