§ 31.056 OATH; BOND.
   The City Treasurer, before entering upon the duties of the office, shall take the oath prescribed by law, and shall execute a bond to the city in an amount of money not less than three times the latest federal census population or any subsequent census figure used for motor fuel tax purposes, which bond shall be payable to the city and conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of the office and the payment of all monies received by such officer, according to law and also the ordinances of the city. Such bond shall be filed with the City Clerk/Finance Director after approval of the City Council.
