§ 72.24 PARKING OR STOPPING LARGE VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT AND THE LIKE.
   (A)   For the purpose of this section, VEHICLE is defined as every device, in, upon, or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a highway, except devices moved by human power, devices used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks and snowmobiles as defined in the state’s Snowmobile Registration and Safety Act, 625 ILCS 40/3-1 et seq.
   (B)   No vehicle or combination of vehicles of more than 30 feet in length shall be parked in any street, alley or public parking lot in the city, except in areas zoned manufacturing and except temporary parking for deliveries.
   (C)   No trailer, vehicle or equipment which lacks the ability of self-locomotion shall be parked in any street, alley or public parking lot within the city unless attached to a vehicle which is self- locomotive.
   (D)   No equipment or machinery which is not designed for transportation of persons or property upon highways shall be parked in any street, alley or public parking lot within the city.
