§ 30.17 DESIGNATED SIGNOR.
   The Mayor may, as provided by 65 ILCS 5/3.1-35-30, designate another to affix his or her signature to any written instrument that requires the Mayor's signature. The Mayor must send written notice of this designation to the City Council stating the name of the person selected and what instrument(s) that person will have the authority to sign. A written signature of the Mayor executed by the designated person, with the signature of the designated person underneath, shall be attached to the notice. The notice, with signatures attached, shall be recorded in the minutes and then filed with the Municipal Clerk.
